What we do
Sparking Curious Journeys
Since 1998, Pathways for Kids has served to empower San Francisco’s underserved, inner-city youth by exposing them to career opportunities through leadership development and motivational programs with an emphasis on technology, entrepreneurship, investing, and capital building.
why we do it
Planting Enduring Seeds
Pathways For Kids cultivates underserved student pathways by primarily connecting them to mentors whose cultural and socio-economic backgrounds they can identify with. We plant the seed through virtual talks and follow up with in-person trips to our corporate partners' places of business, where underserved students can gain clarity on their future employment choices. Take a Pathways high school talk from an alumni about the steps she took to become a Google engineer, while also a person of color - this could very well inspire a resource-challenged teenage girl on the same path. Whether the seed is knowing which coding classes to take first, what certifications will land that first internship in college, or just the motivation resulting from seeing women in tech at the office, exposure can make all the difference in a young person's purpose trajectory.
our process
Connecting Choices to Voices
Our reimagined pandemic mentor model leverages technology to drive learning experiences from fireside and TED talk-inspired chats to on-site field trips with our corporate partners. With the help of schools to dive into students' curiosities and needs, Pathways for Kids can find the right professional in our extensive network to reach your students with life skills that resonate. Our hybrid learning model combines an immersive video-first experience where students can then choose to further engage in our corporate visits, guided by practical and actionable steps. As we aim to share inspiring stories of possibilities, students leave Pathways for Kids meetings with a blueprint for accelerating their newly born ideas.
Discover Students' Needs
Exchange questions and answers with us so we can understand where your school's students need help finding pathways.
Match Speakers
We scour our database for professionals prepared to share their stories, craft, and essential early steps for success.
Drive Student Awareness
We guide your school on how to build interest in our speaker lineup and how students can take the most away from every presentation.
Create Actionable Pathways
We follow-up with plans to help students think about what they can do now, whether through incremental or massive action.

Helping Create an Aligned Future
Pathways For Kids has had over 20+ years experience in bringing together San Francisco's schools, their students, after school programs, and professional/corporate partners to remind resource-challenged youth that they don't have to embark on life's purposeful journeys alone. Follow the roles below to see where you could make a difference:
Ways to Impact Pathways for Kids
If you're a San Francisco high school with underserved students, let us know how our service can help. Email or book a discovery call with us so we can bring voices that matter to your school and identify with the groups at your school who need the most help.
If you're an underserved student who needs clarity and readiness with your post-secondary school plan, you've come to the right place. Check out our next event or join our student portal for useful learning resources or past talks:
If you have time and expertise, email us to learn about ways you can volunteer, help us get organized, or just share ideas as we expand our services.
If you're an individual or corporation who has been blessed, we thank you in advance for your financial support:
